Cashmere Cardigan
A Cashmere Cardigan is chic, elegant and timeless! Get Insane Deals Online!
Cashmere is pure luxury. A cashmere cardigan is soft and warm… as warm as wool but without the prickly feel of wool. Open up your cardigan to cool off a bit and button up when you need to warm up. The extra expense over a wool sweater is to be expected, but as with a quality garment – cashmere will last if cared for properly.
How to Find Cashmere Cardigans for Less
Retailers know that cashmere is highly sought after and prices in retail stores are set accordingly. Wait – don’t get in your SUV and drive to the mall - there are ways to get your cashmere cardigan for way less… Here are a few ideas for where to get a fashionable cashmere cardigan at discount prices.
Buy Your Cashmere Out of Season
First, buying at the beginning of the season is always going to be more expensive. All the new styles are hitting the showroom floor for the fall/winter season and sales are not a priority for retailers. If you wait until the end of the season or plan ahead and shop earlier in the year, you can hit the end of season blowout sales and score! Spring styles come in, winter goes out… Watch out for buying trendy styles that will make you look “so last year” and instead – stick to classic. Get out your mothballs and bide your time until next fall…
Buy Cashmere Online
Shop the big online stores. As much as it feels weird to recommend massive internet entities like NexTag and Overstock, you can get pretty great deals if you’re patient. Inventory rotates pretty quickly so don’t expect to see the same stuff you were tire-kicking the day before. Move fast – and you can get a great cashmere cardigan at a significant discount.
Outlet Stores Have Great Cashmere Deals
Not everyone likes to shop online, we understand. You want to feel the material, try on your cashmere cardigan and see how it drapes. Outlet stores are your best bet if you’re not comfortable with buying online. Just about every designer line will make a cashmere cardigan – so outlets will generally have something for you for way less.
Cheap Cashmere from China
No, seriously. China is where much of the cashmere out there originates from. If you know someone who is traveling there or you are planning a trip – you can come home with amazing cashmere cardigans at below US cost. We understand if you can’t make the trip, but hey – now you know.

Caring for Cashmere
Caring for a cashmere garment is pretty easy – just follow these basic rules. To avoid discoloration, watch out when applying perfume and deodorant so you don’t get it on the material. Avoid over-washing and always use cold water. As with any wool, your garment will shrink in hot water. We recommend washing cashmere garments by hand with a mild detergent – you can dilute your normal detergent – using a gentle range of motion. After washing you’re going to want to throw it in the dryer – but don’t! lay the sweater or cardigan on a flat surface in the appropriate shape. Avoid putting a wet garment on a hangar as this can cause the garment to become stretched and misshapen.
A cashmere cardigan is a classic and timeless style you can mix and match with your current wardrobe and wear for years to come. Quality never goes out of style - so find yourself a great deal - and start looking chic for less!
